Michael Muhney has been dismissed from his role as Adam Newman, who he has played since 2009, for repeatedly groping co-star Hunter King. The 38 old year star from soap opera The Young and the Restless has shocked his fans with the news.
The news added to the shock when his untimely departure from the show ‘Y & R’ got an attention in twitter. After playing Adam Newman for almost four and a half years, the star did gave a little explanation for unexpected and sudden turn of events.
The Actor, who was also nominated in a Daytime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Lead Actor, confirmed that he was parting ways with the soap opera via Twitter, on December 17. He said, “I’m so sorry. It breaks my heart to say this, but I was just let go from Y&R. My last day on set is this Thursday.” He added that his last air date would be Jan 30th. He is going to take some private time with my wife & kids, as He is the most concerned for their well-being.
Previously his candid nature was quoted as the reason for his departure. However the new reports suggest that Muhney was fired due to sexual harassment. The 20 year old King, who plays Adam’s niece Summer Newman on the series, complained about his inappropriate behavior. She claimed that Muhney groped her breasts on two different occasions. The news of harassing his co-stars and crew came as shock because the actor is known as a devoted family man, who lives with his wife and three young children.
